Anne Conway
November 9, 1951 ~ June 12, 2021
Anne T. Conway, 69, Fargo, died on June 12, 2021, in her home, under the care of the Hospice of the Red River Valley in Fargo, ND.
Anne was the sixth child of Happy (Gladys) and John C. Conway. Anne was born on November 9, 1951, at St. John’s Hospital in Fargo. She attended elementary school at St. Mary’s Cathedral and graduated from Shanley High School in 1970. Anne continued her education, attending North Dakota State University and Moorhead State University receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. She taught school in Barnesville for 2 years and then taught in the Fargo Public Schools for 40 years. Anne retired in 2015.
Anne enjoyed volunteering at the Plains Art Museum and at different local schools. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Mary Poirier, Helen Jaurequi, and Pat Conway; her two brothers, Rev. Jack Conway and William Conway. She also lost two great-nieces, Kelly Ann and Jamie Poirier.
Anne is survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.
A memorial gathering will be 2-4 p.m., Thursday, June 24, at Trollwood West Gazebo in north Fargo.

So sad to learn of Anne’s passing. She was a gentle and kind lady. May she rest in peace.
Anne was a cherished family friend. We shared many laughs over the years and we will miss her. Rest in peace, Anne.

So saddened to hear of. Ann’s passing Also upset. She promised me a prime rib dinner out with Maureen and it never happened. A great family has left our earth to be together in paradise with our Father . May they all Rest In Peace
Oh how we loved when Anne came to “babysit” us. We were guaranteed to have fun. I will miss her infectious laugh and wonderful spirit.
I was saddened to read of Anne’s passing. I knew her since 1st grade at St. Mary’s & all through high school. I considered her a friend from my youth and would often touch base on how she was doing, via my parents, when they would run into her in Fargo. May she now Rest In Peace & experience all of God’s promises.

Anne was a person who could change a thunderstorm into a rainbow with her humor and infectious laughter. So sad to hear of her passing. God needed her smile and laughter in heaven.

To the whole family, especially the Poirier clan, I was saddened to read of Anne’s passing. I actually had met her when she was in 8th Grade but not until years later did I have contact with whole Conway family when I worked with Mary at Laffen’s on Broadway. With the family united in Heaven the level of laughter has increased; even when things were serious they found laughter. What a great family to have known. My the Lord be with you during this time of transition.
Ms. Conway was my 4th grade teacher at Lincoln elementary in 1998. She always made each day exciting and eventful. She is still my favorite teacher I ever had to this day.
The biggest lesson I learned from Ms. Conway is how she had a way of turning a negative experience into a positive one. These are just some of the fun things I remember from being in her class.

I went to school with Anne’s brother Bill for 12yrs and knew the family well. Our prayers are with the Conway bunch.
Happy and my mom worked many dinners at St. Marys. We are so sorry for your loss.
My condolences to Anne’s family and friends. I enjoyed her as a teacher and was happy to reconnect a few years back through volunteer work. I will always remember her laugh.
We were saddened to read about the passing of Anne. We were privileged and honored to have her as the 4th grade teacher for all three of our children.This was probably one year of school that all the kids really enjoyed, because of her. We always loved visiting and catching up with her when we would meet her around town. Her spirit and infectious laugh will be missed. Thoughts and prayers to the family.
I am so sorry for your loss. The Conway family was a big part of my life growing up. We were neighbors and I went through all the grades with Helen. I remember Ann as a baby and watched her grow up.
I was so sad to hear about Ms. Conway. She was my favorite teacher and the reason I went into teaching elementary school! She made learning fun and I loved her laugh! I reconnected with her on Facebook and she loved seeing pictures of my kids. Thoughts and prayers to her family!!
I am Anne’s cousin. We had many enjoyable times together over the years. I will miss her a lot. I was hoping to see her during my “Cousin trek” in July. She was youngest of the Con and Gladys (LaVoi) Conway family. My deepest sympathies to all of her Nieces and nephews in Fargo. I know all of her cousins from the LaVoi side of her family are deeply saddened. I also know Heaven was a better place after she arrived. May God bless you Anne.
I am just learning of her passing after looking her up to thank her for her kindness to me many years ago. I was a 4th grade student of hers in the foster system being taken care of by my 19 year old older sister. She kept us after school (my little sister too), bought us groceries and was always available to talk and give a hug. I wanted to tell her we all turned out okay thanks to her kind loving heart. She will be deeply missed.
