ardis fuhrman
Ardis Fuhrman died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on September 26, 2009. She was born to Audrey and Arthur Parke in Glasgow, MT on March 19, 1949. She greatly admired her older brother Jim and often shared fond memories of the nurturing and loving childhood provided by her wonderful parents. She met her husband Dennis while in high school. They attended Concordia College together and were married in 1968. She graduated cum laude in elementary education and math from Concordia in 1971. After three years of teaching, she decided to focus on raising her children over the next 17 years, actively supporting their activities, such as the F-M Acro Team, Red River Soccer, and PTA to name a few. Ardis pursued an accounting degree at night, and started as a CPA with Eide Bailly in 1991. Her career was a source of joy and satisfaction. Ardis enjoyed volunteering in the Fargo-Moorhead community with the Junior League and the F-M Opera, enriching countless lives. Traveling with her family and friends satisfied her sense of adventure. Her family is grateful to have been blessed with such a model of strength, grace, intelligence, beauty, and selfless love. She will continue to inspire us and guide us in our lives. She was preceded in death by her father Arthur and her father-in-law Mel Fuhrman. She is survived by her husband Dennis; mother Audrey of Glasgow, MT; brother Jim (Shirley) of Weston, CT; daughter Dacia Gonzales (Robert) of Houston; son Brett (Karen) of Denver; son Trevor (Lauren Froeschle) of Denver; adored grandchildren Alexander Gonzales and Hannah Fuhrman; nephew Brad Fuhrman of New York; mother-in-law Gloria Fuhrman Schlieve (Robert) of Havre, MT; sister-in-law Donna Garsjo (Jerome) of Billings, MT; brother-in-law Bart Fuhrman (Karen) of Healdsburg, CA; brother-in-law Kelly Fuhrman of Glasgow, MT; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. It saddened me deeply to hear about the passing of a friend, a wonderful spouse, mother, and sister. I trust you will smile as you remember all the good times and special moments that you shared over 60 years. Ardis was as gentle and kind a person as I have ever met.

You are all in my prayers.
