Arland B. Workin, 80, Fargo, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Eventide Nursing Home in Moorhead, MN surrounded by his wife and daughters, after a long illness.

Arland was born to Ben and Alma (Olstad) Workin in Galesburg, North Dakota on May 25, 1933. He attended school in Galesburg and graduated from Galesburg High School. After graduation Arland served in the U.S. Army for two years where he was a heavy crane operator.  He was united in marriage to Marlys Kringen on June 26, 1954 in Moorhead, MN.

After leaving the Army Arland began working for Cass Clay Creamery from which he retired after 39 years . He was also a member of the Teamsters Local Union 116 in Fargo.

Arland enjoyed many years of throwing horseshoes, bowling and loved watching his grandchildren in all their activities.

Arland is survived by his wife, Marlys of Fargo;  his 4 daughters, Kimberly Cordova, Moorhead, MN, Sheree Cederberg, Hawley, MN, Debra (David) Galt, Fargo, and Joni (Carlis Kramer) Workin, Fargo;  4 grandchildren, Matthew Galt, Erick (Sara) Galt, Rachelle Cordova, and Cody Cederberg; and 1 great granddaughter, Adrianna Galt. Arland is also survived by 4  brothers; Marlow of Hatton, ND;  Richard (Bunny);  Raydon (Betty);  David (Judy) all of Fargo;  4 sisters; Madalyn Ulland; Twin sister  Arlene Klug both of West Fargo;  Frances (Bernie) Kyllo of Bismarck, ND; Carol Baker of Derwood, MD and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
