Arnold passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at his home in Lisbon, ND, at the age of 67.

 

Arnold was born on May 12, 1943, the son of Paul and Erna (Schultz) Buchholz, in Fargo, ND. He grew up on the family farm near Durbin, ND and attended school in Davenport, ND. Arnold was united in marriage to Cheryl Mark in 1996 at Canaan Moravian Church. They have made their home near Lisbon since that time. Arnold worked for many years as a lineman for Cass County Electric. He later farmed near Wyndmere, ND, and had most recently drove truck. He loved spending his time tending to and riding his beloved horses, fishing and hunting.     

 

 Arnold is survived by his wife, Cheryl of rural Lisbon; his children, Kevin (Leigh) Buchholz of Gilbert, AZ; Keith Buchholz; Kurt Buchholz both of Sparks, NV; Kim (Dean) Kostuck of Mayville, ND; and Kelli (Calvin) Durdahl of Maple Grove, MN; 14 grandchildren – Jaime, Megan, Hillary, Hailey, Helena, Zachary, Isabella, Desaree, Courtney, Cristen, Brenden, Tyler, Niktia, and Madex; and his 3 great grandchildren – Kiana, Alicia, Jiselle.  Also surviving are his step children, Mary Colgrove of Milnor, ND; Sharon (Steve) Kaldor and David (Kathy) Mark, both of Sheldon, ND; his siblings, Leslie Buchholz of Lynchburg, ND; Elda (Blake) Foster of Fargo; Violet (Bob) Allen of Fargo; Margarete Foster of Arthur, ND; Willie Buchholz of Fargo; Arthur (Beth) Buchholz of Erie, ND; and Paulette (Jim) Fraiser of Boise, ID; and his brother in laws, Jim Gebeke and Robert Bakken.

 

Arnold was preceded in death by his parents; a brother in infancy; his sisters, Marvel Gebeke and Nancy Bakken; his brothers in law, Charles Foster and Max Sanborn; and his sister in law, Donna Buchholz.
