Barbara Elaine Buckley, 73, Moorhead, MN passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Sanford Medical Center with her family by her side. Barb was born July 17, 1943 in Fargo, ND. She graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1961. After graduation, she went to New York City and did some modeling for a couple years. In 1971 she met and married the love of her life, J. Michael Buckley. In 1974 they moved to Moorhead where they raised six children together. Family meant everything to her. Barb and Mike enjoyed snowmobiling, dancing and playing cards with friends till all hours of the night. Barb also loved bowling on a league, ceramics, and of course, garage saleing. She was also known for her extensive doll collection and room full of Elvis memorabilia. Barb had the most beautiful nails and jewelry. According to her, she never had enough jewelry. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, John Michael Buckley; six children, Richard, Marc, Deborah, Kimberly, Heidi (Torsten), and Marlaina (Kyle); 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Curtis and Charles Fettig; and a large extended family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Opgrand; step-father, Arnt Opgrand; father, Anthony Fettig; son-in-law, Bradley LeDoux; brother, Robert Fettig; and granddaughter, Brittney Lee Buckley. There will be a Funeral Mass at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 24, 2017 at St. Paul’s Newman Center, Fargo with a visitation one hour prior.

  3. So sorry to hear of Barbara’s passing. It has been a while. But we always had a good time and enjoyed being with her and Mike during our snowmobiling years.

  4. I had the pleasure of spending time with Barbara. She was a very unique lady and I enjoyed taking her to her nail appointments, getting her hair done and checking out all the Antique shops and Thrift stores. I was with Barbara the day I found an original Coach handbag for $6.00. Hugs to the family during this sad time.God Bless you Barbara Buckley!!
