Bea Haugen

Bea H. Haugen, age 93, Fargo, ND, died Sunday, July 3, 2005, in Bethany Homes, Fargo. Bea Haugen was born October 27, 1911 to August and Natalie Haugen at Kindred, ND. She grew up in the Davenport, ND area and attended school through 10th grade. She graduated from the North Dakota Agricultural College High School. Bea worked for government agencies in Bismarck, ND. She enlisted in the Navy in Washington D.C. on July 13, 1944 and was honorably separated February 9, 1946. She moved to Ft. Collins, CO where she enjoyed her Lutheran church and other Christian activities. She enjoyed golf and bridge and her many friends. In August 2000 she moved to Fargo, ND and entered Bethany Homes. Bea is survived by her brother, Elder (Estrid) Haugen, Aberdeen, SD; her two sisters, Eleanor (Archie) DeTienne, West Fargo, ND and Norma Scilley, Laguna Hills, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and three brothers. Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m. Thursday in the Mavis Whiting Chapel at Bethany Homes, Fargo.
