Beatrice ?Bea? DuBord Beatrice Richard DuBord, age 89, Fargo, ND, died Sunday, November 26, 2006 in her Riverview Place apartment in Fargo, ND. Bea DuBord was born on October 2, 1917 near Horace, ND to Edward and Anna (Rivard) Richard. She grew up on the family farm as the second eldest of eight children. As a teenager she had fond memories of driving the car to deliver lunch to the men working in the fields. She graduated from St. Joseph?s Academy and was raised in her faith at St. Benedict?s Catholic Church located in the heart of the ?French triangle? between Horace, Wild Rice, and Hickson, ND. From this same community she married Armand ?Pete? DuBord on June 15, 1939. They moved to Fargo in the early 40?s. He died in 1988. Bea was a very gregarious person and enjoyed a full life. She was a devoted wife and mother to her seven children. She was an efficiency expert, juggling all the roles of a stay-at-home Mom: cooking, canning, cleaning, managing the money and keeping the records, and tending her vegetable and flower gardens. She was especially gifted in sewing, crocheting, and candle wicking embroidery. For several years she took care of several foster infants. She was an active member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, and she always played a mean game of whist. Bea?s greatest blessings were her children and grandchildren. Her daughters are: Karen DuBord, Brainerd, MN, Pauline Fettes, West Fargo, ND, Mary (Tod) Mahoney, Mansfield, TX, and Jane (Stephen) DuBord-Hill, Fargo, ND; her sons are: Richard (Patricia) DuBord, Dent, MN, Dale (Debi) DuBord, Richardson, TX, and Steve (Claudia) DuBord, Peoria, AZ. She has eleven grandchildren and five and one-half great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete, and her parents. Her siblings are: sisters, Angela Lepine, JoAnne Erickson, and Diane (Steve) Grindberg; and her brothers, Tony (Leone), Maurice (Ella), Daniel, and Roger (Delores) Richard. There will be visitation from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at Riverview Place Chapel, Fargo, ND and Thursday in the church one hour before the funeral mass.
