  5. Fargo North Dakota
I am the oldest student in Ben’s Japanese class, back in school after 39 years. Ben was without question the smartest and most motivated student in the class, and could be looked to as an authority. When I asked him how he could rattle off Japanese the way he did, he said, “Many hours of practice”. I was shocked to hear of his death. We will be poorer by his passing. I extend my sympathy to Ben’s family and friends.

    ベンさん、さよなら。(Ben-san, sayonara).

Always in the front row of my class and not missing a beat. I’ve included a song for your family.

  37. I’m so sorry for your loss. I last saw Ben when he was 3 years old. I often played with his brother Steven in the late 80’s. I lived at the end of the block in a red house at the time.

  38. I did not know Ben, but knew him as Kainy on the Penny Arcade forums. He was a generous soul and friendly. I have often thought about him. I’m sorry for your loss.
