Obituary

Beth Irene Arneson, 67, of Fargo, North Dakota, passed away unexpectedly April 12, 2018.

Beth was born, July 19, 1950, in St. Paul, Minnesota. Her parents, Marvin and Violet (Evans) Arneson welcomed her home along with her siblings, Joel, David, Mercedes, and Brian.

Beth was blessed with Joshua in May 1984 and everyday thereafter. His every achievement, his every day was a delight to her throughout her life. Even when he insisted she get new, bigger screen TV, she bought it only because of Joshua’s recommendation.

One of her greatest joys in life was her grandson, Leonard Joshua Arneson. She loved every minute she spent with that little boy.

Beth attended and graduated from North St. Paul School. After graduation she attend Century College, White Bear Lake, MN, and graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead. She taught in a one room school house in Rosholt, South Dakota for several years prior to teaching in the Appleton, Minnesota (Lac Qui Parle) school district beginning in 1979 continuing to her retirement in 2012. Beth truly loved teaching and was selected teacher and Who’s Who among America’s Teachers in 2006. The children were always a delight to her. In her retirement she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, writing poetry and stories which were published in various regional collections, reading, and enjoying music.

Beth is survived by her son, Joshua and his wife Chelsey; their son, Leonard (Leo); her sister Mercedes Arneson Pary of New York Mills, MN; her brother Brian Arneson of Mahtomedi, MN, a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews and many friends and relatives.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Marvin and Violet, and 2 brothers, David and Joel.

In her memory, Beth would encourage us to continue to see the world with Awe and Be Kind to one another.
