Betty L. Brumfield, 86, Cincinnati, OH, formerly, Fargo, ND passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016, at Llanfair Retirement Community, Cincinnati, OH. Betty Lee Saylor was born April 26, 1929, in Underwood, ND, the daughter of Adolph Saylor and Emma Goehring. She lived there until 1942, when the family moved to Streeter, ND. In 1949, she attended Minot State Teachers College and began teaching in Enderlin, ND. She was united in marriage to Richard Brumfield in Enderlin, ND in 1951. She taught school in Fort Riley, Kansas while Richard was in the service. After his discharge, they moved to Wahpeton, ND where Richard attended Wahpeton Science College. Shortly after, they moved to Fargo where Betty worked as a substitute teacher in the Fargo School System. In 2006, she moved to Cincinnati, OH where she enjoyed watching her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren and the Cincinnati Reds. Betty was very active in her church, Lutheran Church of the Cross, West Fargo, ND and enjoyed doing genealogical research on her family’s history. She also loved going hunting and fishing. She is survived by her children; Lurale March, Williston, FL, Sandra (Terry) Baumgarten, Dunlap, IL, Richard (Rhoda) Brumfield, Cincinnati, Ohio, 5 grandchildren; Laura Nunez, John (Amber) March, Richelle (Greg) Roth, Will (Clare) Brumfield, Morgan Baumgarten; 11 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Beverly (Ed) Sauter, Carson, ND and Phyllis (Kermit) Schauer, Las Cruces, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 daughters in infancy, Yvonne and Richelle, 1 grandchild, Michael Baumgarten and one great -grandchild, Avery March. Visitation and Luncheon: 1:30 - 3:00 P.M. Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Boulger Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center, Fargo, ND. Funeral Service: 3:00 P.M. Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Boulger Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center, Fargo. Burial: Enderlin City Cemetery, Enderlin, ND.
