Beverly A. Ehlers

Beverly A. Ehlers, 92, Fargo, ND formerly New Rockford, ND passed away at Villa Maria in Fargo on November 3rd, 2019. A rosary service will be held at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Casselton, ND on Friday November 8, at 10:30 AM. The Funeral Mass will be at 11:30 AM at St. Leo's with lunch to follow. Beverly was born December 4th, 1926 in McHenry, ND. She is the daughter of Anton and Dorothy Johanns. She attended Valley City State College after which she taught school for 3 years in rural Eddy Co schools. On October 12th, 1947 she was united in marriage to Russell Ehlers in Jessie, ND. A member of St. John’s Catholic Church in New Rockford, ND she was active as a Eucharistic minister, daily mass reader and rosary leader. Beverly was also a member and officer of St. Jude’s Circle. She was the Eddy Co Deputy Treasure for one year and the Eddy Co Treasure for 15 years. She loved to bake, play cards, devoted to the church, travel, and spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a woman full of life and always found the good in everyone around her. Beverly was an active member and spent 17 years as Secretary of the Eagles Auxiliary in New Rockford, ND. She was a member and the “Queen Bee” of the Red Hat Organization. She moved to Casselton, ND 9 years ago to be closer to be her children and spent 8 of them at Casselwood. She made many new friends while there and became a regular at St. Leo’s Catholic Church. She is survived by her son, Daniel Ehlers, Fargo, daughter Diane (Bruce) Poulson, Durbin, ND. Five Grandchildren, Roger, Jeff, Nicole, Stacy and Chelsey. Six Great-Grandchildren and one Great great Grandchild. Proceeded in death by husband, Russell, her parents and three brothers, John, James and Robert.
