I met Bonnie at Dr. Yohe’s office when I worked there in 2000. We would talk frequently and even after I left his office in 2002, we continued to talk on the phone. I always received a Christmas card from her and she was always interested in how it was going with raising my grandson Josh.

Bonnie was a wonderful friend and will miss her dearly. Everyone was blessed to know her.

Loosing a mother is a very, very heart wrenching ordeal and I pray that God gives you strength to see this through. Don’t dwell on her death but the many, many wonderful things that all of you have shared together.

    My deepest sympathies.

    Pam

My dad died from the same disease.

  6. Fargp ND
Mike and family, So sorry for your loss. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. She was a wonderful lady.

  7. The Villages FLGetting to know Bonnie was one of the pluses of working at Guest Services at MeritCare. She was a jewel. I enjoyed not only working beside her, but later on with phone conversations. When I moved to Florida she was one of the first to call and see how I was doing. I didn’t call her often enough and the last time I visited her in person was the summer of 2006 when I was in Fargo. It was hard to see her suffering, but she always had an upbeat attitude and a smile. To her family, please accept my deepest sympathies and to her friends and former co-workers, I share in your loss of a good friend.

My sincere sympathy to all the family in the loss of your mother, grandmother, and loved one…..Bonnie was Bonnie…She trained me in at
MeritCare Guest Services when I first started. She taught me alot but…I will always remember how her eyes lit up when she talked about Tiger Woods !! A more devoted fan there cannot be!! Her times and trips with family and how proud she was of all …A Mother’s love was evident. She never wanted the attention on her self…no matter how tough she was feeling she never wanted or asked for favors..one had to be creative in helping her . She was bright, witty and kept up with news even when she was physically out of the loop. Her common sense approach and good ole fashioned way was admirable. Our Lord is smiling and does not waver with his faithful servant, Bonnie.
It is with a grateful heart that I feel blessed to have worked with her and the song “Oh Bring back my Bonnie to me “takes on new meaning.. Bless be her memory and my love and prayer to all.

  12. Fargo 58102I so enjoyed working with Bonnie in Guest Services and getting to know her so well through the years. One of my fondest (maybe funniest) memories is when we were working at the Guest Services desk together. A very inebriated customer came in, who did not make any sense and he kept laughing. Bonnie and I got the giggles and the more we giggled the more he laughed. Maybe not an appropriate story to share but it was an inside joke Bonnie and I always shared. Bonnie was a very dedicated Mother and employee. She was very proud of all her years at St. Lukes/MeritCare and the many hats she wore. I loved to hear Bonnie talk about her family. Her children and grandchildren meant everything to her. I do regret not making a point of visiting her, her last weeks on earth but she was always in my thoughts and prayers.
    Sincerely,
    Patty Dirk

  16. West Fargo 58078 We had such fun at the races & spent many good social lunches over her favorite appetizer at Mexican Village! Bonnie’s quiet stubborness and wonderful smile, when she would really let go and laugh, will be one of my fondest memories. She was one-of-a-kind & very special!
