  1. I was so pleased when Carl chose to attend the 60th reunion of the Fargo Central High Schook reunion this past August. Carl and I shared Fargo all throughout our school years and on. Rest In Peace, Carl. Ruth Engh Westrick

  2. It was great to see Carl at the 60th reunion this past summer in Fargo. We went to grade, junior and high school together. I appreciated his humor, for example his telling me (also very hard of hearing) that he talks so much so that he doesn’t have to listen and not understand other people! May God take you up and hold you in His strong, but gentle arms, Carl.

  3. It was sad to hear of Carl’s death. My condolences to his family and friends. He will certainly be missed at McDonald’s and I am sure at karoke.

  4. Carl was one of those rare people that everyone knew and everyone liked. He had a smile and kind word for all! Condolences to his family.

  5. Carl Carl Carl you will never be forgotten 42 years I knew you always a smile and hug we had a lot of good times not to forget it will seem so empty at McDonalds when we go there you were a good man father grandpa and friend RIP buddy love ya till we meet again

  6. My heart & sincere condolences go out to Carl’s Family & Friends. I was blessed to know Carl many years, loved seeing him do his Aabye Shuffle dance and sing his heart out at Karaoke. He will be missed by many. Rest in Peace Carl ~ Hugs, Beth

  7. With kindest thoughts and heartfelt regards to family, having worked with Carl at Holsum Bread Company many years ago, I enjoyed his carefree approach to life and his friends. Leaving Fargo shortly thereafter, memories remain of a kind and gentle guy. RIP Carl.

  8. Carl was a nice man. We shared church with Carl at the Salvation Army and would ask him to sing. His favorite song was How Great Thou Art. He always had a story to tell and pictures to show of his family. He was so proud of all of you. It was a blessing to know Carl and may you as a family find blessings in knowing how much we will miss his presence. Bob and Sharon Spiess

  9. Condolences goes out to Carl’s Family & Friends. So sorry to hear of him passing. May this find you comfort at this difficult time… May Carl be Dancing in Heaven….

  10. Soo sorry for your loss heard the name many times in my past. Sure I met him at Alfred Aabye’s funeral. Brian Katie Aabye jensen

  11. Much Love to Carl’s Family… Barrett and I always enjoyed coffee time with Carl….. always interesting and fun…. God Bless All…

  12. Jack was my boyhood friend in the 1950s; I have thought of him many times since he passed away in the early 70s. Frank was my big brother, Allan’s, friend in those days. Allan left this world last September never having forgotten Frank. Carl was the bigger brother who came and went. Jane was there on 9th Avenue too. Good memories and hope of seeing them again.

  13. I s nice to have known a very nice friend it too bad you had to go and be gone forever God Bless You
