Carl "Butch" Jalbert

Carl passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, surrounded by his family at the age of 59.

Carl John Jalbert was born on December 17, 1957 in Moorhead, MN, the son of Curtis and Phyllis (Peterson) Jalbert. Known as “Butch” to his family and friends, he grew up in Fargo and graduated High School. Butch worked with his father at Thompson Roofing Company.

Throughout the years, Butch was an avid hunter and fisherman. There was nothing he enjoyed more than spending his days fishing or hunting turkeys, deer and geese with his brother and father.

Butch is survived by his brother, Curtis “Junior” Jalbert; his sister, Cheryl Heuer – both of Fargo; brother-in-law, Duane Henrickson of Battle Lake, MN; his nieces and nephews – Patty (Troy) Macziewski, Tracy (Chris) Roach, Justin Heuer, Shana Heuer, Shannon Henrickson, and Wayne Henrickson; and three great-nephews and one great-niece – Brandon Maczieshki, Brady Macziewski, Kamden Macziewski, and McKenna Rankin-Roach. Also surviving are four very special aunts: Lillian Wollman, Evelyn Peterson, Frances Morlock and Shirley Peterson. Butch is survived by his faithful companion and beloved dog, Dusty.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Phyllis; his infant brother, David; his sister, Carol Henrickson; and all of his grandparents.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 2 PM Tuesday at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center in Fargo

VISITATION: one hour prior to the service in the funeral home on Tuesday

BURIAL: Riverside Cemetery in Fargo

    I am a former camper at the campground on Crystal Lake. I had some good visits with Butch & he was always ready to help anybody who needed help with anything. He was such a good guy.

    It has been very shocking to hear about butch passing, he was a a LONG TIME lake friend,we are going to miss his fishing stories,it won’t be the same at the lake for sure,we will miss him terribly,prayers to the family

    I was shocked to learn of Butch’s passing. I always enjoyed talking to him along the road during deer hunting season. He will be missed.
