Charles Frisch
Charles (Chuck) Frisch, 80, Fargo, ND died February 7, 2017. Chuck was born on October 4, 1936 to Freddie & Helen Frisch in Ashley ND where he graduated from high school. Chuck attended North Dakota State University, where he was a member of Kappa PSI graduating in 1958 with a B.S. in Pharmacy.
Chuck married his sweetheart and best friend, Arleen Bauer (Eureka, SD) on September 27, 1958. Together they raised three children in Moorhead, MN, where Chuck was a pharmacist at Foss Drug. In 1981, they opened Dakota Pharmacy in Hettinger, ND and worked side by side, made many good friends and have fond memories. In 2001 they retired and relocated to Fargo, ND.
Chuck was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed a lifetime of hunting and fishing with his friends, sons-in-law and grandsons. He spent many rewarding hours tending his garden. Chuck and Arleen were proud Bison Team Makers and NDSU supporters. Chuck also enjoyed spending time with his family, playing bridge, bowling, reading, and closely following the Boston Red Sox. They belonged to Hope Lutheran Church of Fargo.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Arleen, his daughters, Kristi (Jay) Kirkeby of Fargo ND; Stacey (John) Eichenberger of Burnsville, MN; and son, John Frisch of Fargo, ND. He is also survived by six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his mother, Helen Frisch; his brother, Bruce (Vi) Frisch; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Freddie; and treasured hunting companion, Pepper.
Services will be held at Boulger Funeral Home at 123 10th Street South, Fargo, ND, on Saturday, February 11, 2017. Visitation will be from 1-2pm followed by a memorial service at 2pm.

Sorry to hear of Chuck’s passing. He and Arlene were good friends when Lottie and I lived in Hettinger. One of my favorite memories of Chuck was the time we were out hunting and he left his shotgun leaning on the back of the vehicle. We drove off and then he realized he didn’t have it. Fortunately, we were able to find it, and we hadn’t run over it either. My heart goes out to you Arlene.

Arleen, you and Chuck were so very kind to our family when we moved to Hettinger. There were many days where we would pull up to your store with the stroller and you would welcome us in with a smile and open arms, even though we had little people in tow and you had many beautiful and breakable items on display. I always enjoyed chatting with you two. You were always busy but took the time to express your true friendliness. You were very missed when you left that community and Chuck will be greatly missed by many because he was an outstanding man. You and your family are in our thoughts, memories and prayers.
