Charles Luptak Fargo, North Dakota Charles died on Saturday, October 4, 2003,at Manorcare Nursing Home in Fargo, after a lengthy illness. Charles Luptak was born on May 16, 1919, in New Hradic, North Dakota, the son of Joseph and Anna Luptak. He moved with his parents to Belfield, North Dakota, where he grew up and attended school. He farmed and drove school bus. Charles was united in marriage to Gladys Johnson at Belfield, North Dakota, on April 7, 1942. He proudly served his country during World War II. After his discharge, he attended Bismarck Jr. College and North Dakota School of Science. Charles was employed at NDSU in the Agricultural Department and Mechanical Engineering Department as a Technician for 32 years. He was a life member and past commander of Francis Beaton D.A.V. of Fargo and a life member of the West Fargo VFW. Charles is survived by his wife, Gladys of Fargo; his sons, Duane (Jan) Luptak of Horace, North Dakota; and Alan Luptak of Fargo; his grandchildren, David Luptak; Amy Cossette; Jessica Reier; and Jennifer Truhlicka; and his great grandsons, Zachary Luptak and Brandon Truhlicka. He is also survived by his sisters, Edithe Stransky of California; Jen Hecker of South Dakota; and Vicki Beahn of Minnesota. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister; 2 brothers; and an infant grandson. FUNERAL: 11 AM Tuesday, at Atonement Lutheran Church in Fargo VISITATION: 5-7 PM Monday with a prayer service at 7 PM in Boulger Funeral Home and one hour prior to the funeral in the church on Tuesday BURIAL: Sunset Memorial Gardens in Fargo.
