Charles Scilley

A memorial service for Charles P Scilley, who passed away Monday, November 28, 2016 at Sanford Palliative Care Unit in Fargo, ND., will be held 11 AM on Saturday, May 6th, at New Hope Lutheran Church in Leonard, ND. Charles, son of John and Harriet (McGuigan) Scilley, was born on March 17, 1934 in Fargo, ND. He was raised on a farm in Leonard, ND where he lived his whole life. He attended school in Leonard graduating from high school in 1952. He was a farmer and worked as a farm hand for most of his life. Charles loved reading, sports, and family genealogy. Born on Saint Patrick's Day, he was proud of his Irish heritage. He is survived by a sister, Margaret in Bismarck, ND; a brother, Larry (Gwen) in Rochester, MN; two sisters-in-law, Phyllis in Moorhead, MN and Doris in Lexington, KY; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Allen (Phyllis) and Donald (Doris). Memorials may be given to The American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
