Charlie Allen

Charles ?Charlie? Allen, 53, 1121 2nd Avenue South, Fargo, passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2004, in Bethany Homes, Fargo, after a courageous battle with cancer. Charlie Allen was born June 20, 1950, in Hillsboro, ND, the son of James and Emma (Henka) Allen. He grew up in Hillsboro and graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1968. He attended the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. He then lived and worked in Hillsboro until moving to Fargo in the late 1980s. He was the night manager at West Acres Bowl for many years, and was employed there until becoming ill. Charlie had many friends, was an avid science fiction reader, and enjoyed bowling and baseball memorabilia. He is survived by his parents, James and Emma Allen of Hillsboro; one brother, Dan Allen of Victoria, MN; and one sister, Mary Gray of Boise, ID. Memorials are preferred to Roger Maris Cancer Center, Fargo. Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at Our Savior?s Lutheran Church, Hillsboro Visitation: One hour prior to services in the church on Friday.
