Chester Johnson

Chester Johnson Grand Forks, North Dakota Formerly of Cummings, North Dakota Chester passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2004, at Valley Eldercare Center in Grand Forks, at the age of 85. Chester Eugene Johnson was born on March 11, 1919, the son of Walter and Alma (Paulsrud) Johnson, in Norway Township, near Hillsboro, ND. He grew up in this area and first attended country school and later Hillsboro School. Chester was united in marriage to Elaine Lee on September 28, 1945, in Halstad, MN. They made their home in Bingham Township, near Cummings, ND, where they farmed for many years. They retired from farming in 1992, and moved to Grand Forks in 2002. Chester is survived by his loving wife, Elaine of Grand Forks; his daughters, DeAnn (Mark) Hulst of Mayville, ND; and Karen (Barry) Medd of Grand Forks; his grandchildren, Scott and Kelly Hulst of Thompson, ND; Shana and Darin Anderson of Victoria, MN; Sara and Brandon Kasprowicz of Thief River Falls, MN; Staci and Darrin Radermacher of Casselton, ND; Todd and Brittney Medd of Salt Lake City, UT; and Laura Medd of Grand Forks; his great grandchildren, Lucas Anderson and Samuel Radermacher; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
