Christine died in the hands of her family on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at Merit Care ICU after a courageous and valiant battle against breast cancer and acute leukemia. She was raised in Bismarck and attended Cathedral and St. Anne's grade schools and graduated in 1986 from St. Mary's Central High School. In her youth, she participated in gymnastics, cheerleading and horse activities. She was a free spirit, beautiful, kind, loving, intelligent, adventurous, creative, witty, and always the life of the party. Her name brought a smile to anyone who knew her. Christine started her college education at Arizona State University and graduated from the University of Utah with a major in Psychology and a minor in French. While attending ASU, she seized the opportunity to live with a family in France to fully experience the French culture. Christine was ever searching and learning. She also worked as a Children's ski instructor in Vail, Colorado before moving back to Fargo. As an adult, she took lessons in singing, dancing, film making, sculpture and horse riding. In Fargo, she was a volunteer at the Plains Art Museum, taught Yoga to the elderly and volunteered at various other organizations. Christine met the man she had been praying for in the spring of 2000. Mike and Christine were married in July of 2002 at St. Mary's Cathedral in Fargo. Her greatest joys were the birth of her two precious children. She lived each day to help them experience the beauty of life and nurture their free spirit. Above all, Christine was an artist , of the canvas, of the word, of love and of life. She has left a picture on our hearts that will never fade. Christine was a model of strength and grace and selfless love. Her family has been blessed with her presence and she will continue to inspire and guide us in our lives.
