Mrs. Fadness, 84, of Rochester, MN, formerly of Fargo, died Tuesday (June 4, 2013) at her residence at Madonna Meadows.  Clara was born August 12, 1928 in Hebron, ND to Matt and Elizabeth Messer Jantzer.  After attending school in Hebron, Mrs. Fadness married Richard E. Renner on September 16, 1947. Richard and Clara raised six sons and a daughter in Richardton and Hettinger, ND.  Shortly after Richard's death on January 17, 1982, Clara moved to Fargo, ND to be closer to many of their children.  Clara then married Russell K. Fadness on July 5, 1986. Some months after the passing of Russell on August 30, 2008, Clara moved to Rochester to reside in the community with her daughter Deborah and son Richard.

Clara was a "saint of a women," a beautiful and talented woman with a devout faith and the utmost abundance of support and love for her family.   Clara loved to bowl, golf, stich and cook, and she was extraordinary at them all.

Survivors include all her sons, Allan Renner of Estes Park, CO, Kenneth (Judy A.) Renner of Clearmont, MO, Donald (Judith B.) Renner of Columbus, OH, Richard (Cheryl) Renner of Pine Island, MN, Douglas (Sandy) Renner of Billings, MT, Charles (Lea Ann) Renner of Franklin, TN and a daughter, Deborah (Darrel) Raknerud of Rochester, MN; and many grandchildren,  great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren.

  1. ROCHESTER MN
    – Minnesota
We want to let all of Clara’s family know how pleased we were to know her. She was delightful to visit with, and always looked and dressed so lovely when we picked her up to take her to mass. (Even the time we took her to the “Polka” mass! She loved that!!) I will treasure the embroidered dish towels she made us, and the many needle point magnets. (Our granddaughter loves the magnets)
Our deepest feelings and thoughts to the whole family.
    Lovingly in prayer,
    Don and Helen Staley

We lost our special Angel tonight. We thank God for the family who could be with her at the end. We wish we could have had another day with her to see that beautiful smile. We miss her so much already.
