Clarence Olgar Jensen, 92 of Fargo, died Thursday, September 25, 2008 at Innovis Health in Fargo. Clarence was born at home on May 4, 1916 in Norman County, Minnesota to John M. and Inga C. (Haughness) Jensen. He attended schools at Twin Valley, MN and Hagen Township in Clay County, MN. In 1941 Clarence met the love of his life, Agnes Lorraine Hanson and they were married on October 9, 1943 in Crookston, MN. He served in the Army from 1944-1948. He served in the Third Army, Golden Acorn Division, taking part in the assaults across the Mosel and Rhine Rivers, the Battle of the Bulge, Rhineland, Central Europe and Ardennes. He received the European-Africa-Middle East Medal, Victory Medal and the Occupation Medals-Expert Infantry Badge, Combat Infantry Badge, Presidential Unit Citation and Distinguished Unit Badge. He was a proud member of the West Fargo VFW Post 7564 and Olivet Lutheran Church. Clarence was employed by Kost Brothers Concrete, Branick Tire Company, Rockwal Construction, Sorsin Construction and Meineke Johnson Construction, retiring in 1981. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Inga; brothers, Arthur, Ordeen, Henry, Orlean, Carl; sisters, Bertha, Selma and Hilda. Clarence is survived by his wife, Agnes Lorraine; sons, Jeremy Jensen of Fargo, Jack (Carol) Jensen of Fargo; brothers, Johnny Jensen of Ulen, MN, Joseph Jensen of Vergas, MN, Marvin (Doris) Jensen of Fort Collins, CO, Anton ?Tony? Jensen of Ankeny, Iowa; sisters, Anna Sontag of Ada, MN, Lillian (Knute) Wefald of St. Louis Park, MN; sisters-in-law, Glenice Jensen of Borup, MN, Helen Jensen of Ada, MN, Charmine Jensen of Detroit Lakes, MN, Betty Mayfield of Walla Walla, WA; brother-in-law, Norman Haughness of Broken Arrow, OK and by 43 nieces and nephews. Visitation: Sunday, September 28 from 5-7 pm at Olivet Lutheran Church, Fargo and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Prayer Service: Sunday at 7:00 pm at the church. Funeral Service: Monday, September 29 at 1:00 pm at Olivet Lutheran Church, Fargo. Interment: Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Moorhead, MN. Arrangements entrusted to Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
