Clifford J. Glasow, 84, Leonard, ND passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, June 29, 2011.

Cliff was born on July 29, 1926 in Addison Township, rural Davenport, ND  to Bernard and Martha (Heuer) Glasow. He grew up on the family farm and attended District 29 School, Addison Township. After finishing  school he joined his father farming. During the Winters he worked for Albright Construction and Smiley Merhiy Plumbing. Clifford J. Glasow and Frances E. Discher were married on October 20, 1951 at Bethel Moravian Church, rural Leonard, ND. Cliff worked with his family all his life farming. He started collecting, repairing, and restoring Minneapolis Moline, Oliver, Massey Ferguson, and Ford Tractors and currently has over 20 tractors. He raised hogs and cattle and his nickname was "Roadrunner" because he was always running for parts. Cliff served on the Addison Township Board and on the Canaan Moravian Church Board. He really enjoyed snowmobiling and water skied  into  his 70s.

Cliff is survived by his children, Dallas (Paula) Glasow, Davenport, ND, Joan (Rich) Westlund, Fargo, ND, and Bruce (Mara) Glasow, Davenport, ND; his grandchildren and great grandchildren, Tracey (Marty Mikkelson) with Ellisyn, Trisha (Ross) Montgomery with Mylah, Taylor Glasow, Stephanie (Jesse) Cook with Grace and Elizabeth, Mallory (Nik) Pickett, Lauren (Dillon) Duchscherer, and Harlee Glasow;  and his sister, Cecelia Hans.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Frances, his parents, Bernard and Martha, his brother, Herbert B. Glasow, and daughter in infancy.

MY SON CAME TO YOUR FARM WITH MY MOM AND STEP-DAD AND MY HUSBAND AND GOT TO RIDE ON YOUR TRACTORS AND HE IS 15 YEARS OLD AND TO THIS DAY HE ALWAYS REFERS TO YOU AS THE GREAT UNCLE WITH THE COOL TRACTORS. I AM SAD BUT HAPPY CAUSE SAD WE LOST A AMAZING MAN BUT HAPPY CAUSE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO JOIN YOUR BELOVED WIFE AND MY DAD IN HEAVEN AND DO WHAT YOU ALL DID BEST LAUGH AND TALK OF OLD TIMES.
