Clyle G. Dwyer

Clyle G. Dwyer, age 89, Fargo, ND. , died Friday January 16, 2004 in the Palliative Care Unit at MeritCare. Clyle G. Dwyer was born July 7, 1914 in Graceville, MN. His family moved to Fargo in 1927. He attended St. Anthony?s School. Clyle served with the Civilian Conservation Corp for two years, beginning in 1933. He drove truck for many years, retiring from Buckingham Trucking in 1974. He was a long time Teamsters member and served on their Board. Clyle and Helen Mae Iken were married on February 22, 1936 in Fargo at St. Mary?s Cathedral. He was a loving husband and the proud father of 12 daughters and 1 son. Clyle?s family was always an important part of his life. He most enjoyed fishing and hunting with his son and sons-in-law. Christmas Eve with his grandchildren was a long time family tradition. Clyle lost his health and eye sight but never his sense of humor. May he rest in peace and know that his family loved him and will miss him greatly. He is survived by his wife, Helen; and one son; Greg(Vicki) Dwyer, Fargo; and 10 daughters; Teresa (John) Rieniets, Claudia (Steve) DuBord, Maureen (Roger) Cook, Yvonne (Ralph) Nordick, Deanna (Red) Scheer, Mary Chezick, all of Fargo, Colleen (Duaine) Hillstad, Moorhead, Janet (Jeff) Tennison, Dilworth, Pauline (Donnie) Noon, Wilton, Terri (Keith) Lauer, Bismarck, and 37 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. One brother, Sylvester (Mary) Dwyer, Iowa; and five sisters: Lucille Donahue, Fargo; Mae Blankenship and Bernadine Krier, California; Patricia (Bill) Mikkelson, Michigan; and Dorothy (Jerry) Storrud, Montana also survive him. Clyle was preceded in death by two daughters, Patricia Wright and Bernadine Medler; three brothers; and one sister. Funeral Mass: Tuesday 1:00 p.m. Church of the Holy Spirit, Fargo, ND Visitation: 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Monday at Boulger Funeral Home and one hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday.
