Colleen Butler

Colleen passed away Monday, September 23, 2019 at the Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND at the age of 72. Colleen was born on February 19, 1947, in Hillsboro, ND; the daughter of Alvis and Iris (Bugbee) Rohman.  In 1960 Colleen was adopted by Verana (Otto) Rohman when Alvis remarried. Colleen raised her boys, Brad and Allen in East Grand Forks, MN.  In the past few years Colleen had moved back to Hillsboro, enjoying reacquainting herself with old and new friends.  Colleen is remembered for her ability to make a meal out of anything, including “white fish” caught by her boys in the Red River.  Colleen had a love of animals and always found a place for cats, dogs, and birds in her home and her heart. Colleen is survived by her son Bradley (Ronna) Butler; grandson Kyle (Ashlee) and great-grandchildren Jaxon, Raleigh, and Oakley; grandson Ryan, granddaughter Lyah, grandson Craig and great-grand daughter Aura.   Her son, Allen (Rita) Butler; granddaughters Kelsey (Mitchell); Brittany; and Shelby. Colleen is also survived by her mother Verana Rohman, and her siblings Wayne (Judy); Arden (Cathy); Rita; Darwin (Mary); her sister-in-law Renee Rohman and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Those who preceded Colleen in death are her mother and father, Iris and Alvis Rohman and brothers Sheldon and Loren.
