Colleen Mae Gilmore, 58, Fargo, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Sanford Hospital.

Colleen was born to Ervin and Clara (Hansen) Weeks on April 21, 1954 in Fargo, North Dakota.  Colleen grew up in Fargo graduating from Fargo North High in 1972.  She lived in Fargo her entire life.  She worked for Great Plains Software for 5 years.  She had a delivery business that operated in Fargo-Moorhead.  She also worked for Banner Health.  She had been a homemaker for the last 11 years.  Colleen married Jeff Gilmore on October 9, 1993 at Peace Lutheran Church in Fargo.  She enjoyed writing; this was evident in her book of poetry. 

Colleen loved to travel.  She and Jeff would go to Michigan and even drove to Bar Harbor, Maine.  She visited Mackinac Island, where she enjoyed a carriage ride.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff; daughters, Jessica Hanson (fiance, Ryan), Fargo, Calin Hanson, Fargo; grandson, Ricardo Arenal; siblings, Charlotte Gilje, Hoods Port, WA, Karen (Harold) Bradsteen, Moorhead, MN, Donald (Diane) Weeks, Kindred, ND, Jerry (Pat) Weeks, Fargo, Judy (Lance) Gunderson, Frazee, MN; sister-in-law, Marilyn Weeks, Great Falls, MT; her best friend of 52 years, Jean Arechigo, Moorhead; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ervin and Clara; brothers, Harold Weeks, Robert Weeks, and David Weeks.

The family would like to thank Dr. Chavour, 2 south nurses and the nursing staff for their exceptional care.

    I am so sorry to hear of Colleen’s passing. I went to junior high and high school with Colleen and reconnected with her years later. She kept me informed of the welfare an older friend we had in common. Colleen was a very special person. I will keep you in my prayers.

    Colleen was a great friend in high school. She was a very good person and loved life. Colleen would tease me all the time about skipping school and how I was always in trouble. She will be missed by many. My prayers are with you at this time of great lose. May the Lord keep you in His care.
