Connie passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Bethany Retirement Living in Fargo. Constance E. Dahl was born November 2, 1921 in Pierre, SD to Randolph and Nina (Sterud) Dahl. As a young child she moved with her parents to St. Paul, MN and later to Minneapolis where she attended school and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1939. She was confirmed in her faith in 1936 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Minneapolis where she and her family were active members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy, her parents, three sisters and one brother. She attended the University of Minnesota for two years before transferring to Luther College, Decorah, IA where she graduated in 1945. Following graduation she taught high school in Estherville, IA for one year. She then did secretarial work in Minneapolis and Los Angeles, CA. In 1950 she became secretary to the president of Luther College, Decorah, IA and retired from that position in 1982. She was united in marriage to the Rev. Percy Larson on November 27, 1981 at First Lutheran Church, Decorah, IA. They retired to Mabel, MN in 1987 and moved to Moorhead, MN in November 2000. They were members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead. Percy and Connie moved to Bethany Homes in Fargo, ND in September 2007. She is survived by one sister, Elizabeth Helen Hoeger, Minneapolis, MN; and 16 nieces and nephews as well as her husband’s children, Sandra Hove, Rev. Timothy Larson, Rev. Philip Larson and Mark Larson. A Graveside Service and Interment of ashes will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Lincoln Cemetery in Ridgeway, IA. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in the Minneapolis, MN area.
