Crystal Berkley

Crystal G. Berkley, 91, Fargo, ND, formerly of Kindred, ND, died Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at ManorCare in Fargo. Crystal (Braaten) Berkley was born May 15, 1916 in Wyndmere, the daughter of Oscar and Annetta (Golberg) Braaten. She attended school in Wyndmere until her senior year when she transferred and graduated from Oakes High School. Crystal married Albert Berkley on May 3, 1939 in Moorhead, MN. Together they owned and operated Berkley Feed and Seed in Kindred for many years. She sold bedding plants and garden seed through 2006, and sold Avon and Watkins products until her death. She loved her sales customers, history, and her cats. She had an amazing talent for remembering dates and events. She entered ManorCare on March 1, 2007. She is preceded in death by an infant son, her husband, her parents, and her sister, Alma Westland. Crystal is survived by numerous cousins.
