Curtis D. Lien, 71, Davenport, Florida, passed away at Innovis Health, Fargo, ND on July 2, 2007.
Curtis D. Lien was born to Elvin and Beatrice (Whitson) Lien in Hillsboro, North Dakota on January 12, 1936. He grew up in Hillsboro and attended school there. After school Curtis joined the U.S. Marines and served with the Marines for 8 ? years. Curtis returned to Hillsboro where he worked with Sarge Sorum, a general contractor. Curtis then joined the U.S. Geological Service where he worked until his retirement in 1994. After retiring from the Geological Service Curtis worked part time at Highland Reserve Golf Course in Florida. Curtis loved to play golf and also liked to bowl, play poker, and cribbage and was a lifelong member of the cribbage association. Curtis D. Lien and Carole Jean Dickhoff were married on May 13, 1967 in Waterloo, Iowa.
