Dallas Michael Schap, 57, Fargo, ND, died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003 surrounded by his family and friends under Hospice care. Dallas was born November 7, 1945 in Valley City, ND to Loren and Frieda Schap. As a child the family lived in many North Dakota towns where he attended school. In 1964 Dallas went into the Navy until he was medically discharged. He then worked for a florist in Moorhead, MN and for the past 37 years worked for AmeriPride in Fargo until his retirement due to cancer. Dallas and his wife, Janet, enjoyed the Las Vegas trip given to them by AmeriPride. On August 8, 1981 Dallas was united in marriage to Janet Marier of Grafton, ND. Dallas enjoyed playing the guitar and playing and listening to The Ventures, and watching the Discovery Channel. He and his friends liked music and hunting prairie dogs together. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, including camping and flying kites. Dallas is survived by his wife, Janet; three daughters, Mary Jo and Nichole of Fargo; Andrea (Dave) Malm, Japan; three grandchildren, Levi, Caleb, and Michayla Malm; his mother, Frieda Schap, Fargo; two sisters, Sister Patricia Schap, Bismarck, ND, Sharon (Gary) Renier, Fargo, and many nieces and nephews. Dallas will be remembered for his kindness and consideration of others; always ready to help his neighbors. Visitation: Monday Sept. 8, 5-8 pm at Boulger Funeral Home and one hour prior to service at the church. Prayer Service: Monday Sept 8, 7:30 pm Boulger Funeral Home.
