Danny Hartl

Danny ‘Dan’ J. Hartl, age 57 of Fargo, ND, died Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at home suddenly of natural causes. Danny Joseph Hartl was born October 23, 1962 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fargo, ND, the son of Joseph V. and Joan (Herbranson) Hartl. He attended Fargo North High School, graduating in 1980. Dan and his brothers worked with their dad in the beekeeping business, Hartl Apiary. He was allergic to bee stings and thus hindered him to continue working in the business. Dan began working in food service at St. Luke’s Hospital in 1988, where he met his future wife Jill, who also worked in food service. He continued working in the health system in central processing and as a courier with the last several years being at Sanford Hospital Warehouse. Dan was baptized at St. Mary’s Cathedral Fargo, February 10, 1963. Dan married the love of his life, Jill Monson in St. Mary’s Cathedral, August 10, 1991. Dan enjoyed recreational motorcycle riding, hunting, fishing, and helping his dad restore classic cars. Dan was the most loving, caring and providing husband and father and he readily told us of his love often; practicing the Catholic faith and his family were the most important aspects of his life whom he cherished. Dan is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Jill Hartl, his children; Tessa Hartl, Chicago IL, Levi Hartl, Fargo ND; his brothers; Lance (Claudia) Hartl, Fargo ND, Wade (June) Hartl, Dassel MN; nephew Hunter and niece Mackenzie Hartl. He was preceded in death by both parents and sister, Ivy, who died as a child before he was born.
