Darlene Loock, age 65, of Acampo, CA, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2005, in her home under the loving care of her family. Darlene was born on July 10, 1939, in Fargo, the daughter of Bernard and Bernice (Jacobson) Reynolds. Darlene was united in marriage to James Loock in June 1956 at St. Mary?s Cathedral in Fargo. Following their marriage, Dar and Jim made their home in Los Angeles, CA, for 15 years. They then moved to Pleasant Grove, Utah, where they lived for 14 years before finally relocating to Acampo, CA. At each place they settled, Dar and Jim started up and successfully owned and operated several Muffler Man Muffler Shops. They also provided a solid home base for any family or friends who were in need of comfort, shelter, or support. Darlene was a member of St. Anne?s Catholic Church in Lodi, CA; she was a past president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Lodi and Pleasant Grove, and was a treasurer of NAMI, San Joaquin County. She loved gardening, bowling, dancing and traveling, and she was an avid Elvis fan. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Throughout her life, Darlene was many things to many people - a successful business woman, a generous employer, a community leader, a dear friend and, above all, a loving and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Darlene is survived by her two daughters, Rhonda (Tony) Quintal of Fortuna, CA, and Sandra Loock-Duro (Eric) of Galt, CA; her two sons, James (Lita) Loock and John Loock of Lodi, CA; her seven grandchildren, Mavis and Sonya Peterson; Austin, Kyle and Sasha Loock; and Erica and Christopher Duro; her three great-grandchildren, Kloey and William James Calkins, and Elissa Loock; her twin sister, Delores (Buzz) Moss of Orem, UT; and her two brothers, James (Sandra) Reynolds of Fargo, ND, and Bernard (Renae) Reynolds of Moorhead, MN.
