David K. Ringdahl, 68, Fargo passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at ManorCare Health Services, Fargo. David was born November 15, 1948 in Minot, North Dakota to Adolph and Erma (McCutcheon) Ringdahl. He grew up on the farm in the Ryder area where he helped his dad. He then moved to Minot and worked at Sweetheart Bakery. He married Paula Vigen on April 2, 1981 at Faith Lutheran Church, West Fargo. He moved to Fargo until making his permanent home in West Fargo. In 2001, he started work at NDSU in the Food Service Department and also did janitorial work for WoodChuck Furniture Restoration. He worked until his health declined starting the beginning of March, 2016. David was always known for being a reliable worker and enjoyed going for walks when he could. He was very grateful for the help he received from Community Living Services. David always enjoyed time with the Vigen family; he greatly appreciated their love and support. Although disabled, David never complained about his situation and lived “one day at a time.” He is survived by his siblings; Lois Ringdahl, Minot, North Dakota, Leonard (Ruby) Ringdahl, Fergus Falls, Minnesota and Donald Ringdahl, Kathryn, North Dakota, nephews, Cory Ringdahl, Los Angeles, California, Tyler Ringdahl, Moorhead, Minnesota and niece, Minda (Seth) Fore, Minneapolis, Minnesota and special cousin, Marian Pierce, Garrison, North Dakota. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gary. Funeral Service: 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 30, 2016 at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo with visitation starting at 12:00 P.M.

  1. So very sorry to hear of the passing of David. I grew up in West Fargo by him and Paula. It was about 6 years ago that I started working at Stop N Go (now Casey’s) and he was coming in there every week. It was nice to see him again. I will be praying for your family. Again so sorry.

  3. oh, So sorry to hear of David’s passing. I saw him everyday when I worked at Manor Care in Fargo and would visit with him and Paula often. May God bring comfort and peace to your hearts in this time of loss.

  4. Thinking of all of David’s family, especially Leonard’s and Lois as we know them best. We are sorry for the sorrow you feel with losing him but glad he can be released from his body that failed him and caused pain. Sorry we won’t be home for the funeral. Rick and Ann
