David E. Klepperich, 49, Fargo passed away suddenly in his sleep on Monday, January 20, 2014.

David was born March 1, 1964 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Ed and Mary Lou (Franz) Klepperich. David grew up in Hickson, ND graduating from Kindred High School in 1982. He attended the University of North Dakota. While in school, he worked at the Chester Fritz Auditorium where he met his future wife, Tre Goethals.  While at UND, he joined the Air National Guard. Tre and Dave were married on March 19, 1988.

David had many professions, including chef, electrician, DirecTV Technician, construction and maintenance. One of the things he was most proud of was rebuilding his family’s home, but the most important thing to him was his children and family.    

His hobbies included collecting knives and trains, preparing salsa from his garden and cooking. He loved sports, especially the New York Yankees.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Theresa (Tre), Fargo; mother, Mary Lou, Fargo; children, Amanda, Moorhead, Bryan, Minneapolis, Christina, Grand Forks; brother, Tom (Jackie) Klepperich, Big Horn, WY, three sisters, Jodi (Lee) Ernst, Prior Lake, MN, Denise (Rick) Hertel, West Fargo, Cathi (Jon) Tiedeman, Moorhead, 35 nieces and nephews and 7 great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ed.

  4. I am sadden to hear that Dave has passed away. I knew Dave just a few weeks as I worked with Dave at the store he took on to work part time on weekends.     To Daves family, I had the pleasure of working with Dave at Evans Place, Got to know how great of a guy he was, how much he loved his family, and looking so forward to him and his wife building their home on their lake prop. There were always smiles, and laughter with Dave, he just was one of the kindest guys ever.
