David Aloysious Savageau, 80, Glyndon, MN passed away Sunday, September 27 at his home. David was born May 3, 1929 in Wild Rice, ND to Henry and Rose Savageau. He married Nevada Porter in St. Anthony’s of Padua Catholic Church in Fargo, ND on July 15, 1950. He served in the US Air-Force in the Korean Conflict as a teletype officer. He enlisted in 1946 at the age of 17 and was discharged on April 13, 1949. Some of David’s passions were golf, fishing, and working with wood. David loved to build things. He dairy and poultry farmed for 23 years, worked at Archies for 13 years and also worked at “Comfort Masters” heating and air-conditioning as well. David was a life-long member of the Eagles. His membership exceeded 35 years. He received a letter of commendation from the city of Dilworth in 1984 for help rescuing approximately 15 people during a snow storm. David was preceded in death by his siblings; Gladys King, Shirley Knox Baines, Floyd (Charlie) Savageau, and Bonnie Torgeson, Betty Korum, and Great-Grand Child; Angel. He is survived by his wife; Nevada, Glyndon, children; Kurt (Michelle) Savageau, Glyndon, MN, Desiree (Lewy) Anderson, Malad, ID, Lance Savageau, Moorhead, MN, Wade Savageau, Glyndon, MN, Tabbie (Tim) Marty, Decatur, TX, siblings; Gloria Ibach, Fargo, Beverly Moran, Fargo, and Conway Savageau, San Francisco, CA. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, October 7 from 5-7 in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo. The funeral will be Thursday, October 8 starting at 11 in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo. Interment: St. Benedicts Cemetery, Horace.
