Dean Andrew Briggs died unexpectedly on August 29th, 2012 at the age of 44. He was surrounded by family, in Fargo, North Dakota.

Dean was born on February 19, 1968, the son of John and Diane Briggs in Fargo, ND. He grew up in Fargo, and graduated from Fargo South High School in 1987. Dean was my neighbor. Over the years, we had many interesting conversations while doing yardwork, meeting by the fence, sharing a beverage, or sitting around a bonfire.

Needless to say, Dean had a zest for life. He enjoyed being surrounded by people, as was evident by the many friends who came to his home. He definitely liked to have fun!

Dean was a great guy and a good neighbor. I will miss my backyard talks with him.
