Delores Elaine Willey, 74, Kindred, died Sunday, November 16th, 2003 in Bethany Homes, Fargo.
Delores was born June 28th, 1929 in Stanley, ND to Arthur and Myrtle (Erickson) Hanson. She grew up and attended schools in Lostwood, ND and Stanley, ND. She graduated from cosmetology school in Fargo and worked in Carrington, ND. She married John Summers in 1953. They had 4 sons. They lived in many places while John served in the U.S. Air Force. John passed away in 1970. Delores moved to West Fargo, ND in 1971. In 1974 she married Curtis Willey and they made their home in rural Kindred, ND. Delores opened her own beauty shop in their home. Curtis passed away in 1999. Delores was very active in her church serving on altar guild for many years as well as a deacon for 4 years. Delores loved her gardens, sewing, and cooking and shared these talents with all of her family and friends. Delores was a devoted mother and will be missed.
She is survived by: three sons, David (Kelly Snyder) Summers, Phoenix, AZ, John Summers, Casselton, ND, and Thomas (Gwen) Summers, Barnesville, MN; five grandsons; one brother, Gene Hanson, Stanley, ND; and two stepdaughters, Pamela and Brenda.
She is preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Eugene in 1961; and one sister, Avis Hanson Reynolds.
The funeral for Delores will be Wednesday at 2 pm at Norman Lutheran Church, rural Kindred, ND. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm at Fredrikson Funeral Chapel, Kindred, ND. Burial will be Thursday at Lostwood Cemetery, rural Stanley, ND.
