Deloris “Dee” Mae Olson passed away April 12, 2016 in her home of natural causes. Dee was born on April 18, 1950 to Robert and Hazel Ugland in Pierre, SD where she grew up and graduated from High School in 1968. On March 17, 1973 she married the love of her life, Steve C. Olson of Fort Ransom, ND. They eventually made their home in Prairie Rose, ND. After graduating from Don’s Beauty School in 1983 she purchased Her Highness Beauty Salon in 1985. Dee enjoyed her weekly Shampoo Sets and made many wonderful friends through the years. Dee had a special spot in her heart for volunteerism. From driving the canteen during the flood, playing Mrs. Claus at local hospitals, or cooking for the Salvation Army. Dee is survived by her son Kip Olson of St. Paul, MN and her daughter Kandyce (Brent) Blumhagen of Fargo, ND, brothers, Robert (Caroline) Ugland of Lakewood, CO, and Howard (Connie) Ugland of Spearfish, SD along with numerous nieces and nephews and special cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Steve, her parents and two sisters, Barbara and Katy. Memorial Service: 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 27, 2016 at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center, Fargo.

  9. Hi Candy and Kip , first off I don’t know what to say my heart has been broken these last days I haven’t been able to sleep and just got back from another funeral. Your mom was my best friend we were together almost every other day. She was like a second mom to me and when I found out about the news I was torn tried getting ahold of mark no answer….   16. Dee was a close friend and we had a lot of fun on the Towne ranch. She was a special one of a kind friend. My thoughts and prayers to go out to her family.

  17. Dee was my classmate starting at Lincoln Elementary all the way through high school. I still remember a spelling bee in fifth grade–she was a great speller. I eventually ended up owning Dee’s 1969 black Camaro so I’m reminded of Dee often. My prayers are with her family.
