Dee Gregor passed away Wednesday Nov 7, 2012 in her home, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley with her husband, son, daughter in-law and friend by her side. Dee was born March 24, 1943 in American Falls, Idaho to Jack and Fern Charbonneau. She was raised in Fargo, ND and attended Holy Spirit Grade School and then went on to graduate from Shanley High School.

Dee was united in marriage in Fargo, to Douglas Hansen July 1963, where they raised their family of 3 boys.

Dee worked at Silver Line Boat works in Moorhead for about 2 years. Then she went to work at two local hospitals as a cleaning lady. Dee retired after 25 years of service at Minnesota State University Moorhead on April 1, 2005. When she retired from MSUM she told them this is no April Fools joke. We heard from many of the people she worked for she was deeply missed. Dee loved to bake cookies, clean, and shop, shop and shop. When the joy of her life came into this world (March 4, 2009 her granddaughter Brooklyn), it just gave her more reason to shop.

On June 28, 1986, Dee was united in marriage to Gerald “Toot” Gregor. And have had 26 plus years of happy marriage. Toot & Dee did a lot of traveling and been on 4 cruises, which they both enjoyed very much. The winter of 2005 and the 5 to follow they spent winters in Fort Walton Beach, FL. There Dee met a lot of new friends from all over the USA and Canada, some of them she was in contact with at least once a month.

We would like to thank Hospice of the Red River Valley for their great care of Dee and support of Toot. Shawn, Cathy, Tom and Von will always be in our hearts. Instead of flowers please send donations in Dee’s Memory to Hospice of the Red River Valley, 1701 38th St. South, Fargo, ND  58103.

Dee is survived by her husband Toot; 3 sons, Daniel, Fort Myers, FL, Thomas, Golden Valley, MN and Robert (Amanda) Hansen, West Fargo, ND; brother John (Marsha) Charbonneau, Forsyth, GA; 3 sisters, Diane (Don) Rose, Bismarck, ND, Kay Charbonneau, Victoria, BC, Canada, Colette (Dr. Kevin) Mickelson, Bismarck, ND;  step- son Dennis (friend, Laurie Meide) Gregor, West Fargo, ND; step-daughter Denise (Jeff) Elvecrog, Sioux Falls, SD; granddaughters Sarah and Brooklyn Hansen; step-granddaughter Maddy Nelson; 4 Step-grandsons, David Elvecrog, Jason Elvecrog, Thomas Gregor and Grant Nelson.  She also has 2 step great grandsons plus many nieces and nephews.

    Dear Toot and Family

I have been so blessed to have had both Toot and Dee in my life as friends. You were my church family and so much more. Of course, I always knew who you were in Church, but I’ll never forget how you invited me to sit with you – 20 years ago – so that I wouldn’t sit alone during Mass. Since then, you two have been a big part of my life and I’m delighted that I have such fond memories. Dee is in such a better place than we are….and I know she’s watching over all of us. Dee and I had a great time at lunch – was it just a few weeks ago?

Toot, you and your family will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. Dee was such an inspiration to me.

    Love

    Janice and Steve
