Donald "Duck" Rohrich, 72, of Fargo, ND, passed away in the company of those he loved on June 30, 2018, at Villa Maria in Fargo. Don was born Donald Valentine Rohrich on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1946, to Margaret Rohrich in Fargo, ND. He attended school in Fargo and lived most of his life there yet also kept a place in his heart for his family "home" in Strasburg, ND, where his grandparents Clemens and Gertrude Rohrich farmed for many years. Don was known for his joviality, his undaunting spirit, and his resilience in the face of adversity. As a young entrepreneur, he owned and operated a restaurant on North Broadway in Fargo. In later years, he worked as a lot attendant in downtown Fargo and for the Fargo school system. He was a member of St. Anthony's of Padua Catholic Church in Fargo. He loved his dog, Keeyah, and making others smile. He is survived by his aunt, Alice Kramer, several cousins, and by members of the Wateland family, who were cherished friends to him for fifty years. He was preceded in death by his mother Margaret, grandparents Gertrude and Clemens, and by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Those left behind would like to thank the incredible staff at Villa Maria and also Hospice of the Red River Valley for their wonderful care and support.
