Donald Dukart passed away on January 25, 2011, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley at Rosewood on Broadway.

Donald was born in Dickinson, ND on August 26, 1957 to Steve and Maryann (Huschka ) Dukart.  His Godparents are Amos Andres and Regina Nesper.

Donald moved to Eugene, OR, Billings, MT and finally settled in Fargo, ND with his family.

Donald attended the Opportunity School and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School.  His favorite teacher was Mrs. Kathy Stigman.

After graduation, Donald attended DWAC (Developmental Work Activity Center).  He was employed at Pizza Hut and remained there until his retirement. During his retirement years Donald started his own magazine clipping and organizational business in his sister, Angela's home.

Donald always loved a big party, which included his 50th birthday celebration at Disney World. Every year for Donald's birthday and Christmas the family would gather to celebrate.  Donald always received a multitude of gifts. He also was very generous at giving gifts; he always had a gift for everyone. He loved it when the family came to his mother's home to play cards and eat supper on a Sunday after church.  He lived with his mother until she passed away, he then moved into his sister, Angela's home.  Donald resided with Angela and her husband, Michael for 7years. With the progression of Alzheimer's, Donald became a resident at Rosewood on Broadway.   Donald enjoyed and appreciated the staff and residents at Rosewood for four months.

Donald is survived by his sisters: Stephanie Seibold, Linda (Kerry) Sadowsky, and Angela (Michael) Stoltman; nieces and nephews: Tiffany Parson, Heidi Seibold (Pat Wegner), Shaun (Sarah) Seibold , Cheri Simmons, Tracy (Bennie) Sandhofner, Lonny (Amanda) Sadowsky, Joshua (Michelle) Baumer, Justin Baumer.  Donald also had many aunts and uncles, Godchildren, and great nieces and nephews.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, brother-in-law, Earl Seibold and several aunts, uncles, cousins, Gizmo, and Jesse.

Donald blessed our family with love, laughter, and creativity.  Donald was an Angel on Earth and now he is in Heaven with Jesus and our parents, watching over us.  We will miss you!

    Dear Donald’s Family,
I was shocked to learn about Donald’s death in the newspaper. I have had calls from some of Donald’s former school mates today who are all feeling so sad about his death. I truly loved Donald and felt so fortunate to work with him at Woodrow Wilson! I know for certain that Donald has reunited with his wonderful Mother and Dad!!! This will make him so very happy and content! Donald was a wonderful gift from God to your family and everyone else whose life he touched along his journey! I will keep all of you in my heart and prayers during this difficult time! Linda, please call me and maybe we can catch up over coffee one of these days (218-863-7618). I will be at the funeral tomorrow and hope to greet all of you!
    Love, Kathy Stigman

I will always love and remember Donald for the way he could love unconditionally, his smiling face and giving personality. We will miss him greatly, but know that he is up above with those who love him as much as we do.
