Donald Casey Friedman born on Oct 10, 1960 passed away at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND on February 19, 2019. Donald was the son of Walter H. Butler, Emerado, ND and Della Brown of Rapid City, SD. As a young baby he was given up for adoption and Mr. and Mrs. Friedman of St. Paul, MN became his parents, he grew up and went to school in St. Paul, he later enlisted in the Armed Forces and served in the Navy on an aircraft carrier, he left the Navy after 2 years. For a while he drifted around, in the late 80's he found his birth mother and she told him about his father. He contacted his father and his life changed. He moved to Grand Forks. His father helped him to settle down, after the death of his father who was his best friend, he moved to Moorhead, MN. Donald was a genuine person he loved and trusted everybody, he was always willing to help, he will be missed by his friends. He is survived by his birth mother, 1 son and 3 grandchildren and his stepmother Ingrid Butler, who loved him and helped him through life. He became a man of God, was baptized and loved his church. I would like to thank Sanford Hospital and all the doctors and nurses that took care of him. Also, I would like to thank Connections for the people that were his friends and took care of him.
