It is with great sadness that the family of Donnette Ranae announce that on Thursday May 17, 2018, she passed away at Vibra Hospital in Fargo North Dakota, at the age of 62. After battling cerebellum ataxia for four years and spending the past two months in the hospital fighting a MRSA infection, she died peacefully surrounded by the family who loved her. A native of Ray ND, Donnette attended Minot State University where she received her degree in social work and Psychology. She was so proud of this accomplishment and she worked so very hard to achieve this goal. After receiving her degree she worked for Unimed’s TLC program in Minot. She later moved to Fargo and worked for Cass County Social Services in the child protection department. This was her life’s work and she dedicated countless hours to serving the children and families she came in contact with. She worked here until she became disabled. She is survived by her Mother Lillian Larson, Brother Donald (Tammy) Larson, Sister Lynette (Gary) Fifer, Brother Ronald Larson, daughter Michelle (Michael) Heitland, Son Brett (Casey) Torgerson, Step – daughter Heather (Joe) Anderson, Lacey (Corey) Finger, Alyssa Pretzer, many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Because of her rare disease Donnette felt compelled to aid in the treatment of Cerebellum ataxia and therefore donated her body to science for the benefit of future medical discoveries.
