Doris Buckingham, age 88, died peacefully on January 3, 2017 in Sanford Medical Center, Fargo. Doris Eckes was born on December 13, 1928 in Derrick, ND. On December 31, 1949 she married Wallace (Wally) Buckingham in Grand Forks, ND. Shortly thereafter, the couple moved to Fargo, ND. Doris had two daughters, Denise Renae (born 12/21/1950) and Pamela Kay (born 11/14/1955). Doris was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela (Buckingham) Larson and her brothers Donald Eckes, Roland Eckes, Duane Eckes and William Eckes. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Wallace (Wally) Buckingham; daughter Denise (Duane) Orson, grandsons Chad Orson, Christopher (Miranda) Larson and Andrew (Sally Jacobson) Larson and her great grandchildren Che’ (Andrew) Larson and Gabrielle (Andrew) Larson and two sisters, Geneva Jarvis and Charlotte Sherve. A Private Family Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center, Fargo. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Fargo.
