Doris Mae Peterson

Doris passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children, on Thursday February 19, 2015 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo at the age of 86. Doris Mae Williams was born on July 21, 1928 in Duluth, MN, the daughter of George and Inez (Turnquist) Williams.  She grew up in the Hibbing, Minnesota area and attended school in Hibbing. Doris was united in marriage to Ralph Peterson on October 15, 1949 in Hibbing. Following their marriage they made their home in Chicago, IL, Hibbing, MN,  and later in Grand Forks, ND where they lived from the early 1950’s until 1998. They have made their home on Grace Lake, MN since that time. Doris is survived by her children, William (Bon Wikenheiser) Peterson of Bismarck, ND; Jane (Thomas) Harmon of Fargo; David (Ginny) Peterson of Bismarck, ND; her grandchildren –Kate Peterson, Benjamin Peterson, Grace Harmon, Gillian Harmon, John Schumacher, Nina Wentz, Sara Schumacher, Adam Schumacher, Niki Eck, Shaun Harmon, and her great grandchildren - Emma Kleppe,  Elias Wentz, Avery Eck, Justin Eck, Austin Harmon, Chace Harmon and Eden Harmon.
