Dorothy Brewer

Dorothy V. Brewer, 85 of Fargo, died Friday, December 5, 2008 at the Palliative Care Unit of MeritCare Hospital in Fargo. Dorothy was born on May 12, 1923 on a farm near Perth, North Dakota to Gunder and Agnes Hanson. Her first love was horses and the outdoors. Her family was her greatest enjoyment. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed and will live in the hearts of her family forever. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Homer G. Brewer; daughter, Shelley Brewer; 8 sisters; 5 brothers and her son-in-law, Jim VanderVoort. Dorothy is survived by her children, Teresa VanderVoort of Fargo, ND, Mike (Dawn) Brewer of Fargo, ND, Lenny (Pam) Brewer of Minot, ND, Sharon (Brad) Oye of Davenport, ND; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Helen Strebig of Grand Forks, ND.
