Doryce Sauter

Doryce M. Sauter was born September 19, 1933 in Sanborn, ND, the daughter of Simon and Francis (Susalski) Diemert. She grew up in Sanborn and graduated from high school there. She married Gene Sauter in April 1954 in Sanborn. The couple lived in Sanborn for a short time and then moved to Valley City. Doryce began working as a nurse's aide at Mercy Hospital in Valley City in 1968, then as a surgical technician. She eventually worked as a respiratory therapist at the hospital. In 1982, the couple moved to Hastings, MN, where she worked at Dakota County Jail for 10 years before retiring.

She is survived by five children, Deborah (Chuck) Roos and Gayle (Earl) Miller, both Fargo, ND, Vicki (Steve) Flick, Fingal, ND, Steve (Lori) Sauter, Hastings, ND, and Sam Sauter, Moorhead, MN ; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister, Deloryce (Loren) Wical, Hastings, MN; and one sister-in-law, Donna Diemert, Nevada.

Doryce was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; Parents, Simon and Francis, brother LeRoy Diemert; and grandson Rick Henley.
