DuWayne Hanzal
DuWayne C. Hanzal, 91, of Fargo, North Dakota died on January 6, 2020 at Villa Maria in Fargo, North Dakota surrounded by family members. He was born October 4, 1928 in Raub, North Dakota to John and Clarice Hanzal. He graduated from Parshall High School and attended Jamestown College and Minneapolis School of Business. He served in the US Army from 1952 to 1954 in Germany during the Korean War. He married Barbara J. Berntson on October 6, 1951. He worked at Northern States Power Co. in Minneapolis for 12 years and returned to Parshall to farm in 1967 until retirement in 1993.
DuWayne is survived by his wife Barbara of 68 years, daughters, Susan (Michael) Beaver, Mesa, AZ; Sandra (Jan) Rieger, Walcott, ND; Sharon (David) McCarthy, Newtown, CT; Stacy (Richard) Conrad, Henning, MN; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers we ask that you send contributions to Hospice or Hopeful Heart Project.org in his memory.
