To Mary and the Yahnke Family. I send my sincere regrets that Dwayne has left us. In 1972, he and I were stationed at a remote site in Alaska while we served in the U.S. Air Force. We became friends as we survived this unique experience. During that time, it became very clear that he loved his Family very much. He gained the respect of everyone there through his leadership skills, common sense and a great sense of humor. I was happy that we were able to continue our friendship when we returned to North Dakota. During my visits and emails with him, he showed that he was very happy in his life and proud of his children and grand children. Needless to say he was a good man and I will miss him. Thanks Dwayne for everything.
