Edith Munter

Edith V. Munter, age 90, of Fargo, North Dakota, died on Saturday, January 10, 2004, at her home in Fargo. Edith was born on August 12, 1913, the daughter of Rhinhart and Alice (Lambert) Gunkel, near Hillsboro, North Dakota. She grew up in this area and attended rural schools. Edith was united in marriage to John R. Munter on September 1, 1939. Edith was a longtime resident of Fargo where she worked as manager for the Kmart #7 grill from 1965 until 1978. She retired briefly, returning to work at St. Luke?s cafeteria, for approximately 3 years. Edith was a member of First Lutheran Church in Fargo as well as a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Edith is survived by her daughter, Pauline (Alec) Murray of Clearwater, Minnesota; her grand cat, ?Sammy?; her sister, Eleanor Cornelius of Viking Manor, Ulen, Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; her brothers, LeRoy, Harold, Vernon, Carl, Wesley, Edwin; and her sister, Lilas.
